POSITION POSTING: Mental Health Counselor

QUALIFICATIONS:

o Master’s degree in counseling or social work with Ohio licensure at PCC or LISW level. Independent license is preferred but will consider PC or LSW upon experience.

o Ohio BCI and FBI criminal background check required prior to employment

o Completion of CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of employment and annually

o Understanding of domestic violence, sexual violence, and child abuse

POSITION DESCRIPTION

o The position schedule is Monday through Friday 830am-430pm and some evenings to meet client needs. Salary range is $26,000-$43,000 dependent upon qualifications and experience.

o With direct supervision, the qualified applicant will provide individual mental health counseling to adults and children, group counseling, as well as counseling for couples and families. Clinical documentation is required upon receiving training and orientation on TCHC"s software and electronic health record policies.

o All TCHC Staff must complete and maintain all required training incumbent upon the position. Population specific trainings include trainings for individuals with developmental disabilities, the LGBTQ community, rural Appalachian culture, and victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Other required trainings are on the topics of cultural sensitivity and diversity and trauma-informed care.
